Rotary Club Donates Money to Replace Street Signs

The Rotary Club of Iowa Park made a $1,000 donation to the City of Iowa Park to replace street signs which are missing or no longer legible.  Public Works Director David Sherrill accepted the donation made on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at the Iowa Park United Methodist Church.  This donation will cover the cost of approximately 20 new signs.  Thanks to the Rotary Club of Iowa Park for this generous donation and their ongoing passion for and commitment to enhancing our community and improving lives in Iowa Park.  The Rotary Club meets on Wednesdays at noon.

The City plans to purchase 100 street name signs and 60 regulatory signs in 2021, all of which are compliant with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), including standards for retroreflectivity and illumination.  The City repairs and replaces signs each year to continuously improve compliance.  To report a missing sign or damaged sign, individuals can submit an online fix-it-form at IowaPark.com/fix-it-form or call City Hall at (940) 592-2131.
