All accident reports completed by municipal police officers are filed with the state through TXDOT. On the scene of an accident, involved individuals will receive a Case Report Number, and involved persons information. 10 days after the date of the accident, persons involved in the crash may obtain a copy of the accident report online at https://cris.dot.state.tx.us/public/Purchase/app/home
